About the Opportunity

San Diego Circus Center benefits from a core team of full-time teachers and leaders. In addition to our year-round staff, we welcome short- to mid-term guest instructors. Opportunities are available for contracts ranging from six weeks to five months, with teaching roles across our academy and recreational programs.

We seek experienced coaches with a strong foundation in multiple aerial disciplines, including (but not limited to) Trapeze, Lyra, Silks, and Rope. Experience in teaching dynamic movements, complex variations, and skill progressions, particularly toward high-level and release skills is essential. A solid understanding of aerial pedagogy and athlete development is highly valued.

Our annual programming follows a nine- to eleven-month rotational cycle, offering flexibility and recurring opportunities for qualified instructors. As part of our commitment to supporting incoming teachers, we aim to include housing accommodations in the contract. Travel support may also be available and is negotiable based on individual circumstances.
